Structure

The Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) is a multi-national (combined) and multi-service (joint) NATO organization.

The Commander Joint Warfare Centre is a two-star General, based in Stavanger, Norway, falling under the pillar of the three-star DCOS Joint Force Trainer based at Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Virginia, Norfolk, United States.

Effective from 11 March 2013, the new Joint Warfare Centre Peacetime Establishment (PE) has 250 personnel. Currently, the personnel is made up of civilians representing 11 NATO Nations as well as military staff from 15 Contributing Nations: Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy,Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. Also represented is one Partnership for Peace (PfP) country: Finland.
