Members of the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) Training Advisory Team received multiple overview briefings on a wide range of topics related to the exercise design, exercise scenario and the content delivery on October 30, 2019, in preparation for the upcoming exercise in November.
Exercise TRIDENT JUPITER 2019-1 is the first exercise in a three-part campaign that ranges from Small Joint Operations to Major Joint Operations Plus.
The high-intensity Computer-Assisted Command Post Exercise (CAX/CPX) will bring together the Component Commands of the NATO Response Force 2020 (NRF20), Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) and Partner Nations.
As a Collective Defence exercise based on a fictitious Article 5 scenario, TRIDENT JUPITER 2019-1 will demonstrate NATO’s readiness and its continued adaptation to new security threats. It will also demonstrate the shared commitment between the Allies to maintaining the continued security of Europe.
The exercise will be conducted at various locations across Europe as well as aboard the USS Mount Whitney command ship.
TRIDENT JUPITER 2019-1 will be directed by German Navy Rear Admiral Jan C. Kaack, Commander Joint Warfare Centre.
