According to Admiral Giambastiani, Supreme Allied Commander, Transformation (SACT), training is the key part of the transformation process.

JWC has been planning Exercise Allied Reach 2005 for the last eight months. "AR 05 has brought together 257 visitors out of town, and some 100 personnel from JWC. Also, the support we have received from the Norwegian Joint Headquarters is very important," CDR Will Hopper said. He works in the Command Group at the JWC, but has been fully engaged as Chief Exercise Support Group for AR 05. "This is an opportunity for the JWC to show its flag throughout NATO."

According to Admiral Giambastiani, Supreme Allied Commander, Transformation (SACT), training is the key part of the transformation process. "Training is the most important way to transform the military in the new concepts or processes," he said. "JWC is the most important organization of NATO to make that happen."

Admiral Giambastiani said that, he had a discussion with Major General Short, Director JWC a year ago, when he first admitted that the Allied Reach 2005 should be held at JWC. "I think JWC has actually been a very good location. I think this has been very good opportunity for the Allied Reach and took us beyond last year," Admiral Giambastiani said.
