I strongly condemn the despicable terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the people of France and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.

I would like to echo NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's comment: "We stand strong and united in the fight against terrorism. Terrorism will never defeat democracy."
