On March 24 and 25, a delegation of the German Armed Forces Command and Staff College visited JWC as part of their wider travel to different NATO and EU capitals and commands.

Commander JWC, Major General Erhard Buehler, welcomed the visitors and provided them with a comprehensive overview of JWC’s mission, its role within NATO, current challenges and the overall importance of training and exercises for NATO and Nations. Afterwards, the German delegation was introduced to NATO’s Exercise Planning Process, JWC’s unique CAX support, and the possibilities to integrate concepts and emerging doctrine into exercises.

The German Armed Forces Command and Staff College provides the two-year National General and Admiral Staff Officers Course, which Major General Buehler graduated from in 1990. The German delegation, currently engaged in this course, was comprised of ten students and one instructor.
