Stavanger, Norway – British Army Lieutenant General Stuart Skeates CBE, Deputy Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC Brunssum), visited NATO’s Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) on Monday 13 May in preparation for Exercise TRIDENT JUPITER 2019.
Lieutenant General Skeates was welcomed by Polish Army Major General Andrzej Reudowicz, Commander JWC. Following the office call, the programme continued with a strategic mission briefing by U.S. Navy Rear Admiral James A. Kirk, JWC’s Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, and a series of detailed briefings on the planning process and coordination for the upcoming exercise.
The TRIDENT JUPITER 2019 Campaign consists of three consecutive Command Post Exercises involving ten Nations and 14 Training Audiences. Based upon an Article 5 scenario, TRIDENT JUPITER 2019 Campaign Exercises will provide a venue to evaluate and certify NATO Response Force 2020: JFC Brunssum as a Joint Task Force Headquarters and Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) as a NATO Expanded Task Force.
The TRIDENT JUPITER 2019 Campaign Exercises will be directed by Commander JWC, who is designated as the Officer Directing the Exercise (ODE).
