NATO's Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) will host and conduct Training Centres Conference on Collaboration for Settings, Scenarios and Simulations (TS3) in Stavanger, Norway from 24 to 26 June 2014.
The principal aim of the Conference is to stimulate collaboration between NATO and National Training Centres to develop settings and scenarios for joint Computer Assisted Exercises (CAX); to share resources for the preparation of CAX support systems, such as simulation databases; and to exploit subject matter expertise and experience held across the wider exercise and training community.
It is widely accepted that in order to provide the best exercise environment for preparation, training and transformation, it is essential that the user's current requirements and emerging training objectives are well understood and captured by the training and exercise delivery community.
During the Conference, a syndicated discussion approach will be used to elicit opportunities and approaches for closer cooperation and increased efficiency.
The syndicates will focus on topics, such as, the policy, principles and way ahead required to achieve the Conference's overall objectives, the actions at the working level needed to deliver the vision provided by the senior leadership, the requirements, constraints and restraints associated with delivering enhanced capability through shared settings, scenarios and CAX support expertise.
Attendees are requested to provide JWC with a Personal Administration Form (PAF). The deadline for submitting the PAF was 23 May. If the PAF is submitted after the deadline, personnel will be responsible for obtaining their own accommodation.
