During his visit, Ambassador Braithwaite had an office call with JWC’s Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, U.S. Navy Rear Admiral James A. Kirk, and received a series of briefings to learn more about the mission of the Centre as NATO's footprint in the North.
The official programme also included a luncheon hosted by Rear Admiral Kirk, a guided tour of the state-of-the-art training facility and a meeting with the U.S. military and civilian personnel assigned to the JWC.
H.E. Kenneth J. Braithwaite retired as a Rear Admiral from the U.S. Navy Reserve in 2011. A 1984 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Ambassador Braithwaite served in multiple public affairs assignments during his military career in addition to serving as a naval aviator in support of anti-submarine warfare missions throughout the Northern and Western Pacific Ocean regions.
