The U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, H.E. Kenneth J. Braithwaite, visited NATO's Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) on Tuesday, 19 March 2019.

During his visit, Ambassador Braithwaite had an office call with JWC’s Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, U.S. Navy Rear Admiral James A. Kirk, and received a series of briefings to learn more about the mission of the Centre as NATO's footprint in the North.

The official programme also included a luncheon hosted by Rear Admiral Kirk, a guided tour of the state-of-the-art training facility and a meeting with the U.S. military and civilian personnel assigned to the JWC.

H.E. Kenneth J. Braithwaite retired as a Rear Admiral from the U.S. Navy Reserve in 2011. A 1984 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Ambassador Braithwaite served in multiple public affairs assignments during his military career in addition to serving as a naval aviator in support of anti-submarine warfare missions throughout the Northern and Western Pacific Ocean regions.

H.E. Kenneth J. Braithwaite assumed the duties of U.S. Ambassador to Norway on 8 February 2018.
